Antiaging Skin Care
Taking care of your skin to slow down the aging process
One of the first and most noticable areas that
gets affected by the aging process is your skin. As the protective top layer of the body, it gets most affected by
outside elements, but also by our lifestyle and nutrition choices.
So, it's not surprising that antiaging skin
care is a very popular concept in today’s world. Today everyone wants to hide their age using skin care
antiaging procedures and products (and a number of people are successful too). However, it is not achieved by any
magic potion. Caring abour skin to protect it against age is all about discipline and being proactive.

9 tips for anti aging skin care
Here are some tips for proactive antiaging skin
care that can be implemented daily:
1. Maintain healthy eating habits
A well balanced diet is the key to maintaining a
proper body metabolism. Eat a lot of raw fruits and vegetables; they are
the best source of fibre and have a very refreshing effect on your body. Avoid excess oily and fat food, as they
can lead to obesity and other diseases, hastening the aging process. However, moderate amounts of fat should be
part of your daily nutrition, especially unsaturated fats. For example, vitamins A, D, E and K are fat-soluble - they
cannot dissolve in water. Good fats are found in olive oil, fish oil, avocado and nuts. Meat contains both
saturated and unsaturated fats.
2. Beat stress
This is probably the most important antiaging
skin care measure. Stress disturbs the body metabolism and accelerates the aging process. Sleep, exercise and a
relaxing bath, are all good ways of beating stress. Aroma-therapy is also known to bust stress. For those who want
to go further, try yoga and meditation.
3. Drink enough of
water
Antiaging skin care can’t be any simpler than
this. Water helps in flushing out the toxins from the body, hence keeping it clean and making it less prone to
disease. For years there has been a modern myth recommending to drink 8 glasses of water per day. Do not adhere to
this strictly. Drink water, but only when needed. Everyone's different and our water needs vary daily. If you drink
beverages, you'll need less water. Use common sense and don't follow someone's rules blindly.
4. Exercise regularly
Regular exercise is a wonderful
antiaging procedure, for the body and the
skin. Besides toning your muscles, it also helps in cleaning the
skin by flushing out the toxins in the form of sweat. Exercise should be followed by a warm shower in order
to completely remove the toxins. And yes, do drink water after exercise, to avoid dehydration.
5. Avoid chemical skin products
Avoid the use of strong, chemical based products
on your skin. Natural skin care products are a good option. Use of organic skin care products (home made or
commercial) can be a very effective antiaging skin care measure. Use also peptide-based
skin care products.
6. Use skin care products in moderation
Do not overuse any antiaging skin care products,
no matter what is their origin. Excessive and harsh applications are both harmful and unnecessary. They can do more harm to your
skin than good.
7. Pay attention to skin disorders
Do not ignore skin disorders; it can lead to
permanent skin damage. Try over the counter medication and if that doesn’t help, immediately visit your
dermatologist and seek his/her advice.
8. Use vitamin C skin care products with care
Vitamin C based skin care products are very
popular means of antiaging skin care. These however, tend to oxidise very quickly, making them harmful to the skin.
To avoid this from happening, store them properly. If the product turns
yellowish brown, it means that vitamin C has oxidised and the prodct is no longer suitable for use.
9. Protect your skin against UV rays
Protect your skin against ultra-violet (UV)
radiation. The UV rays are known to speed up the aging process. So, a good sunscreen lotion should be a part of
your antiaging skin care routine, as well as common-sense approach to getting a tan, or being exposed to the sun.
Remember that sun is beneficial, too (vitamin D), but use exposure to the sun sparingly.

products
The above tips should help you preserve your
skin looking good for longer. But tyranny of age cannot be beaten - not yet anyway.
So, once the signs of aging start showing up, you should start using some additional measures in the
form of anti aging skin care products. The market is full of such products. In fact there are so many
anti aging skin care products that they will probably find you even before you find them.
Also, with age, the skin
undergoes significant change. So you will need to analyse your current skin care procedure to check if it
still holds good i.e. if it is still suitable for your skin.
